John Leguizamo's new solo play Ghetto Klown, will begin a 12-week run at Broadway's Lyceum Theatre on February 21. The production, which will be directed by Fisher Stevens, will open officially on March 22.

In the work, Leguizamo takes audiences from his adolescent memories in Queens to the early days of his acting career during the outrageous 1980s avant-garde theater scene, and on to the sets of major motion pictures and his roles opposite some of Hollywood's biggest stars.

The work has had earlier incarnations in Philadelphia, New Haven, Santa Fe, Louisville, La Jolla, Berkeley, Toronto, and Montreal. A special version of the show, to be presented under the title John Leguizamo Warms Up, will play Chicago's Royal George Theatre, February 1-12.

Leguizamo's previous shows include Mambo Mouth, Spic-O-Rama, Freak, and Sexaholix... A Love Story. His many other stage credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream and La Puta Vida.
