Bean, Blazer, de Haas, Luker, Raines, Skinner, et al. Set for Broadway and Beyond

Shoshana Bean, Judy Blazer, Darius de Haas, Rebecca Luker, Ron Raines, and Emily Skinner are among the stars set to perform in Broadway and Beyond, a one-night concert celebrating composers Vernon Duke, George Gerswhin, Stephen Schwartz, and Jason Robert Brown, to be held at 7:30pm on Thursday, February 2 at Symphony Space (Broadway and 95th Street).

Rob Fisher, former conductor of the City Center Encores! shows, will host the event, which will also feature composer-conductor Joshua Rosenblum, violinist Mark Steinberg, and the Ying Quartet. The concert will be highlighted by the world premiere of a new clarinet quintet by Schwartz, Brown’s “Mr. Broadway” piano sonata, and Duke’s lesser-known “Theme and Variations for Piano Trio,” as well as a number of musical theater standards.
