Tony Award winners Jane Alexander and Vanessa Redgrave participated in a discussion with filmmaker Linda Yellen at The Paley Center on Sunday, November 21.

The event was a look back at the 1980 CBS television film, Playing for Time, about female prisoners at the Auschwitz concentration camp, who survived by performing music for their Nazi captors. The film featured a screenplay by Arthur Miller, based on the book of the same title by Fania Fenelon.

Both actresses won Emmy Awards for their work in the film. Yellen served as executive producer.

Attendees at the event included actress Lauren Hutton and The Paley Center's Christy Carpenter and Pat Mitchell.
