William Youmans to Join Chicago Wicked in December

William Youmans will play the role of Doctor Dillamond in the Chicago production of the hit musical Wicked, December 12-January 14. The role is currently being played by Timothy Britten Parker.

Wicked, which is based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, has a book by Winnie Hotlzman and a score by Stephen Schwartz. It is directed by Joe Mantello. The Chicago production began performances in June 2005.

Youmans originated the role of Doctor Dillamond on Broadway, and he is currently starring as Richard Bingham in the pre-Broadway run of The Pirate Queen at the Cadillac Palace Theater in Chicago. His other Broadway credits include Titanic, Big River, and The Little Foxes.

The Chicago production of Wicked stars Kristy Cates as Elphaba, Erin Mackey as Glinda, Rondi Reed as Madame Morrible, Gene Weygandt as the Wizard, Kristoffer Cusick as Fiyero, and Adam Fleming as Boq.
