The event marks the culmination of a six-week fundraising competition among the companies of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, with all proceeds going to benefit the works of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Among those performing will be cast members of 42nd Street, Avenue Q, Beauty and the Beast, Bombay Dreams, Brooklyn, Dracula, Hairspray, The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, The Producers, Rent, and Wicked. Awards will be given for the best presentations and for the most money raised.
