Tony Award-nominee Joshua Henry will join Glee‘s Amber Riley, Jared Grimes, and Tony Award-winner Adriane Lenox in New York City Center‘s upcoming production of Cotton Club Parade, returning to the venue for seven performances from November 14 to November 18.

Henry replaces the previously announced Brandon Victor Dixon, who is no longer available due to scheduling conflicts. The actor was recently seen in the Broadway revival of The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess. His additional credits include American Idiot, In the Heights, and The Scottsboro Boys — where he also replaced Dixon, who starred in the Off-Broadway production of that musical whereas Henry took on the lead role of Haywood Patterson, earning a Tony nomination for his work.

Conceived by Jack Viertel and presented under the auspices of City Center’s Encores! series, Cotton Club Parade is a celebration of Duke Ellington’s years at the famed Harlem nightclub in the 1920s and ’30s. Warren Carlyle directs and choreographs the production, which features music direction by Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center All Stars under the direction of Daryl Waters.

The cast also includes Alexandria “Brinae Ali” Bradley, Andrew “Dr.Ew” Carter, Kyra Da Costa, Carmen Ruby Floyd, La Tanya Hall, Jeremiah “Supaman” Haynes, Christopher Jackson, Monroe Kent III, Karine Plantadit, T. Oliver Reid and Britton Smith, with Tanya Birl, Christopher Broughton, Wilkie Ferguson, Chanon Judson, Marielys Molina, Erin Moore, , Monique Smith, Daniel J. Watts, and J.L. Williams.

The design team will include John Lee Beatty (scenic consultant), Toni-Leslie James (costume consultant), Peter Kaczorowski (lighting designer), and Scott Lehrer (sound designer).
