Beth Leavel and Richard Thomas will join the previously reported Craig Bierko, Mark Consuelos, Polly Draper, and Harriet Harris as the initial cast for the Off-Broadway premiere of Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays, to be presented at the Minetta Lane Theatre, with previews beginning November 7, and an opening set for November 13.

This evening of one-act plays, conceived by Brian Shnipper, includes works by playwrights Jordan Harrison, Jeffrey Hatcher, Moisés Kaufman, Joe Keenan, Neil LaBute, Wendy McLeod, José Rivera, Paul Rudnick and Doug Wright.

The Off-Broadway production will partner with Freedom to Marry, the campaign to win marriage nationwide, and will donate a portion of all ticket sales to that organization, as well as others promoting marriage equality.

As previously reported, on November 7, the play will also be performed across the globe as participating theaters in the U.S. and abroad will present the play to raise awareness and funds in support of marriage equality.

Level received Tony, Drama Desk, NY Outer Critics Circle and L.A. Drama Critics Awards for her performance as the title character in The Drowsy Chaperone. She most recently starred on Broadway in Baby It's You, for which she received Tony and Drama Desk nominations. Thomas' numerous Broadway credits include Race, Sunrise at Campobello, Strange Interlude, The Playroom, Everything in the Garden, Fifth of July, The Front Page, Democracy, and A Naked Girl On The Appian Way. In addition, he received an Emmy Award for his work on The Waltons.
