Writers and Full Company Announced for Naked Angels’ Naked Radio at Cherry Pit

The initial offerings will be horror-themed for the Halloween season, running October 15-17 and will be written and performed by Zane Birdwell, Salty Brine, Bekah Brunstetter, Sarah Burgess, Cathleen Carr, Eric Clem, Dylan Dawson, Daiva Deupree, Josh Halloway, Josh Koenigsberg, Justin Levine, Will Rogers and Kerry Whigham, with Foley Artists M.L. Dogg and Chris Shade.

Naked Radio, which is designed to offer theater artists the opportunity to work in an alternate creative medium, is another aspect of the company’s previously announced residency at both the Cherry Pit and the Cherry Lane Theatre this fall. At these two theaters, the company will be offering programs from its Naked Incubator Series, which includes new play development programs such as Tuesdays@9, featuring weekly cold-readings of samples of scripts in development; 1st Mondays, a monthly full-length reading series; and Angels in Progress, (October 22-24), a workshop series for several plays.

The group has also announced that it will offer Naked Footprints: An Issues Projectseries in January at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre. The series will consist of curated evenings of short plays, videos, first-person storytellers, music and political discussion all addressing the topic of sustainability.

In related news, the company recently announced that Andy Donald has been appointed Associate Artistic Director and John Alexander has been named the group’s new Managing Director, replacing Brittany O’Neill who has assumed the newly created position of Producer.
