The season will begin with Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks helming a revival of the 1930 musical Girl Crazy, featuring a score by George and Ira Gershwin and a book by Guy Bolton and Jack McGowan, to run November 19-22. In 2009, Marc Bruni will direct the 1954 musical Fanny, to run February 4-7. The show, which is based on Marcel Pagnol's novels about a young girl who falls in love with a sailor, features a score by Harold Rome and a book by Joshua Logan and S.N. Behrman.
Foster is currently appearing in Shrek: The Musical.
