Marin Hinkle will join Tate Donovan, Missy Yager, Trever O’Brien, and Joyce Van Patten in the Geffen Playhouse’s production of David Lindsay-Abaire’s Rabbit Hole for its final week, October 17-22. She replaces star Amy Ryan in the production, which is directed by Carolyn Cantor. No reason was given for the switch.

Rabbit Hole concerns a middle-aged couple dealing with the death of their young son. It received a Tony Award nomination for Best Play and its star, Cynthia Nixon, won the Tony as Best Actress. Lindsay-Abaire, whose other plays include Fuddy Meers, Kimberly Akimbo, and Wonder of the World, is the librettist of the upcoming musical High Fidelity.

Hinkle’s many New York credits include the Broadway productions of A Thousand Clowns, Electra, and The Tempest, and the Off-Broadway productions of Jayson With a Y, Miss Julie, Sabina, and Henry VIII. Her television credits include regular roles on Two and a Half Men and Once and Again.
