Barnett, DiPasqua, Lavin, Ward, et al. Will Take Part in MAC/ASCAP Showcase

Cabaret stars B.J. Ward and Christine Lavin will be the special guests of the MAC/ASCAP Songwriters’ Showcase to be held at 6pm on Wednesday, November 9 at The Lighthouse (111 East 59th Street). Jamie deRoy, president emeritus of MAC, will host the event.

The showcase will also feature songs and/or performances by John Philip Alman, Judy Barnett, Karen Benedetto, Charles Bloom, Tim DiPasqua, Christy Faber, Brian Lane Green, Robert Grusecki, Dave Hall, Ted Kooshian, Michael Mahler, Alisa Schiff, Alan Schmuckler, Eric Schwartz, Jerry Smith, Anya Turner, Adam Wagner, and Steven Ray Watkins.

Ward is set to perform her show B.J. Ward Sings Marshall Barer at Feinstein’s at the Regency on October 31 and November 7 at 8:30pm. Lavin has just released her 17th solo album, Folkzinger; she will perform selections from that CD at Birdland on Monday, October 31 at 7pm.

Admission to the showcase is $15 for the general public, $5 for MAC or ASCAP members. No RSVP is required.
