ATW Seminar to Focus on See What I Wanna See

The Public Theater’s production of See What I Wanna See will be the focus of the American Theatre Wing’s next “Working in the Theatre” seminar, to be held at noon on Thursday, October 27 at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (365 Fifth Avenue).

Participating in the seminar will be composer Michael John LaChiusa, director Ted Sperling, choreographer Jonathan Butterell, and actor Marc Kudisch. Susan Frost will moderate the 90-minute discussion. The show, which is based loosely on the Japanese film R Shomon, is currently in previews, with an official opening set for October 30. Idina Menzel, Mary Testa, Henry Stram, and Aaron Lohr complete the cast.

The “Working in the Theatre” series will continue on Friday, November 4 with “Staging the Classics.” Participants will include directors Anne Bogart, Barbara Gaines, Brian Kulick, and Mark Lamos; the discussion will be moderated by Jeffrey Eric Jenkins.
