The show is set in Washington Heights, New York, as three generations of Latino immigrants dream of succeeding in America while at the same time holding onto their culture and heritage.

The principal cast features Joseph Morales as Usnavi, John Herrera as Kevin, Joshua Boone as Benny, Emily Vasquez as Nina, Anthony Ramos Martinez as Sonny, Debra Cardona as Abuela Claudia, Manoly Farrell as Vanessa, Natalie Toro as Camila, and Natalie Hill as Daniela.

In addition, the cast features Paul Aguirre, Jeremy McQueen, Sydni Beaudon, Carleton Bluford, Lauren Sambataro, Victoria De Altamarino, Robin Auva'a, William Cooper Howell, Christopher Squires, Sara Kae Childs, Ariana Escalante, and David Guy Holmes.

The creative features Helen Gregory (musical direction), G.W. Mercier (sets and costumes), and Paul Miller (lighting).
