Stage and screen stars Benjamin Walker and Scarlett Johansson will play Brick and Maggie, respectively, in the upcoming Broadway revival of Tennessee Williams' classic Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Rob Ashford is directing the production, which will begin performances at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on December 18 in anticipation of a January 17 opening.
Walker starred in the title role of Broadway's Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson and plays another famous president in the film Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Johannsson won a Tony for her Broadway debut in A View from a Bridge, and is well known for her film work -- including the role of Black Widow in the summer smash The Avengers.
Hinds' previous Broadway credits include Closer and The Seafarer. Monk won a Tony for Redwood Curtain, a Drama Desk for Curtains, an Obie for The Time of the Cuckoo, and an Emmy for NYPD Blue.
