Stoltz will play newspaper science editor Simon McElvane, who is dealing with a troubled marriage when he is named editor of the newspaper's Modern Love column. Ripley will play his wife.

Futerman will play his adopted teenaged daughter, and Buono and Sheedy will play editors at the newspaper.

Ripley won the Tony for Next to Normal and her many stage credits include James Joyce's The Dead, Side Show and The Baker's Wife.
