John Tartaglia, the creator of the Off-Broadway musical, ImaginOcean, will appear at the Barnes & Noble Upper East Side (150 East 86th Street) at 11am on September 19 for a special storytime event and to sign copies of the show’s CD.

The album includes music, lyrics and orchestrations by William Wade, performed by a fourteen piece orchestra and an ensemble of singers. In addition to Tartaglia, vocal performances include director Donna Drake, as the voice of Bubbles, the female fish of the trio, and veteran Broadway musical performer, Michael Shawn Lewis, who lends his voice as Ripple, the tiny but mighty Seahorse.

Conceived and written by Tartaglia, Imaginocean follows the adventures of a group of fish friends, who uncover a map which leads them to ultimately discover the treasure of each other’s friendship. The puppets for the piece are designed by The Puppet Kitchen; the set is by Robert Kovach.
