Jeremy Cohen, Briga Heelan, David Perlman, et al. Set for Once Upon a Time in New Jersey Musical Off-Broadway

Prospect Theater Company has announced casting for Susan DiLallo and Stephen Weiner’s musical comedy Once Upon a Time in New Jersey, to run October 2-31 The Hudson Guild Theatre. Cara Reichel will direct the production, which will have choreography by Christine O’Grady and musical direction by Remy Kurs.

Set in 1956 Hoboken, the show centers on an unassuming sandwich-maker, who is in love with a counter girl who’s got it bad for the local hunk, whose sights are set on sexy dance teacher. The musical is a recipient of the Kleban Prize and Richard Rodgers Award.

The company will feature Jeremy Cohen, Jason Collins, Denise DeMirjian, Mishaela Faucher, Jonathan Gregg, Briga Heelan, Jason Kappus, Theresa Kloos, Alex Krasser, Catherine LeFrere, John Mervini, Samia Mounts, David Perlman, Darcy Yellin and Noah Zachary.

The creative team will include Jen Price Fick (scenic design), Isabella F. Byrd (lighting design), Asa F. Wember (sound design), Sidney Shannon (costume design), and Dimitri Nakhamkin (orchestrations and vocal arrangements).
