Beth Glover, Joseph Melendez, Kevin McGlynn, et al. Set for Nellie Beezer’s Melting Pot Follies of 1922

Amas Musical Theatre has announced casting for a trio of concert readings of Nellie Beezer’s Melting Pot Follies of 1922, to be offered on October 11 at 6pm and October 12 at 3pm and 7pm at Ripley Grier Studios. Phillip George will direct the musical, which is written by George with Kathy Griffith, with additional material by Gerard Alessandrini and the shows musical director, David Caldwell.

The musical is set in 1922 and focuses on a group of immigrants, who are learning American history and English, as they celebrate the fourth of July. The company will feature Beth Nir Chalamish, Jillian Cox, Beth Glover, Mark Fisher, Lori Hammel, Joseph Melendez, Kevin McGlynn, Kevin Moon Loh, Kristi Roosmaa, and Lee Summer.

The performances, presented free-of-charge, are being offered as part of the theater’s Six O’Clock Musical Theater Lab.
