New York Post gossip columnist Cindy Adams will be one of the guest spellers for the 1000th performance of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee this Sunday, September 23 at Circle in the Square Theatre.

The musical comedy is about six young people in the throes of puberty, overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, learning that winning isn’t everything and that losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser. It is directed by James Lapine, with a book by Rachel Sheinkin from a concept by Rachel Feldman, and features a score by William Finn.

The Broadway production currently stars Aaron J. Albano, Stanley Bahorek, Jenni Barber, Jared Gertner, James Monroe Iglehart, Sara Inbar, Greta Lee, Daniel Pearce, and Jennifer Simard.

Following the performance, the cast will celebrate the milestone performance at an after-party at Bamboo 52. For more information, visit www.spellingbeethemusical.com.
