Kate Burton, Richard Easton, Dana Ivey, Mary Stuart Masterson, Michael Stuhlbarg, and James Urbaniak will star in Revelation Readings, a series of free readings by the Red Bull Theater that will feature both new plays of heightened language and neglected Jacobean plays. The series will run September 19-November 2 at The Culture Project.

Easton, who won a Tony Award for his performance in The Invention of Love, will star in Christopher Marlowe’s Dido, Queen of Carthage on September 19. Urbaniak, who recently concluded a seven-month run in Thom Pain, will headline a reading of a new translation of Orestes by Anne Washburn on October 10. Stuhlbarg, a Tony nominee and Drama Desk Award winner for The Pillowman, will star in Beaumont and Fletcher’s The Maid’s Tragedy on October 25.

Ivey, a four-time Tony Award nominee, will appear with two-time Tony nominee Burton on November 1 in George Etherege’s Restoration comedy The Man of Mode, or Sir Fopling Flutter; and on November 2, Ivey will star in April DeAngelis’ Playhouse Creatures, directed by Kate Whoriskey.

In addition, on October 4, there will be a special benefit reading of Lee Blessing’s newest work, The Scottish Play, starring Mary Stuart Masterson (who received a Tony nomination for her work in Nine). Tickets to the benefit, which include a post-show reception, are priced at $55. The play will receive a full production at the La Jolla Playhouse later this month.
