Billy Crystal’s Tony Award-winning solo show 700 Sundays will play the Wilshire Theatre in Beverly Hills, January 6-February 18. Des McAnuff will once again direct the production, which has additional content by Alan Zweibel.

In 700 Sundays, Crystal recounts growing up on Long Island, focusing especially on his relationship with his father, who died when Crystal was 14. The show has just begun a tour in Toronto and will be making stops in Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco before hitting L.A.

On Broadway last season, 700 Sundays ran for 21 previews and 163 regular performances at the Broadhurst Theater, where it set many box office records. In addition to winning the Tony Award for Best Special Theatrical Event, Crystal won both the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards for Outstanding Solo Performance.

In their TheaterMania review of the Broadway production, Barbara and Scott Siegel wrote: “Blessed with a unique, fascinating childhood, Crystal manages the artful trick of telling a one-of-a-kind story that is nevertheless poignantly universal in its appeal.”
