Gingold Theatrical Group's Project Shaw will present a production of George Bernard Shaw's romantic comedy Village Wooing, starring J. Smith Cameron (Rectify) and Tony Award winner Jefferson Mays (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder). Narrated by Wall Street Journal theater critic Terry Teachout and directed by David Staller, the performance will take place on Monday, September 29, at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre.

Written by Shaw in 1933, Village Wooing traces the relationship between its two characters, following a meeting on a luxury cruise liner, that is anything but a "shipboard romance."

Now in its ninth year, Gingold Theatrical Group will continue its 2014 Project Shaw events with a rarely seen Ibsen comedy, League of Youth (October 27), Shaw's The Millionairess (November 24), and a reading of David Cote’s new play, Otherland (December 22). Its 2014 Shaw New York festival will also join the Pearl Theatre Company and GTG to coproduce Shaw's Major Barbara, directed by David Staller, from November 4-December 14.
