Carrie Fisher’s Wishful Drinking to Be Released on DVD September 13

Carrie Fisher’s critically acclaimed one woman show Wishful Drinking will be released on DVD from HBO Home Entertainment on September 13.
In it, Fisher shares a comical, yet sobering, look at her widely-publicized tumultuous life story — from her days growing up being the daughter of two Hollywood icons, to becoming an icon herself, through her very public downward spiral.
The DVD includes bonus features, including many deleted scenes and “My Alleged Mother” – an exclusive and candid interview with Fisher’s mom, Debbie Reynolds.
Fisher received Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle nominations for her performance in the Broadway production of Wishful Drinking. In addition to the stage version of the piece, Fisher has also published it as a memoir.
