Ana Gasteyer to Recur on ABC’s Suburgatory

Stage star Ana Gasteyer will now have a recurring role on the new ABC comedy Suburgatory, according to EW.com.

The series, which will debut on September 28, is about life in the suburbs, and will star Jeremy Sisto, Jane Levy, and Cheryl Hines. Gasteyer plays the overbearing Sheila Shay.

As recently reported, she will offer a three-performance engagement of her show Elegant Songs From a Handsome Woman, at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood, August 11-13 at 8:30pm. The show features a mixture of Broadway numbers, beloved standards, and movie melodies.

Gasteyer’s Broadway credits include The Royal Family, The Threepenny Opera, Wicked, and The Rocky Horror Show. She may be best known for her work on NBC’s Saturday Night Live.
