American Idiot Broadway Cast Members and Green Day to Perform at NY Jets’ September 13 Season Opener

Members of the Broadway company of American Idiot and the band Green Day will perform during the halftime show at the New York Jets’ regular-season opener on September 13 at New Meadowlands Stadium, according to an Associated Press report.
The performance will include the song “Last of the American Girls” from the show and the halftime event will conclude with fireworks.
The musical, performing at the St. James Theatre, has been directed by Michael Mayer, who has written the book with Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong.
