The lineup of partnership events that will be held in conjunction with this year’s New York Musical Theater Festival (NYMF) has been announced.

Working with The ASCAP Foundation, NYMF will present a series of panel discussions at Barnes and Noble-Lincoln Triangle, including a conversation with Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey about the journey their musical Next to Normal has taken from NYMF to Broadway. Other panels include: Triple Threats: Writers Who Write Book, Music and Lyrics (October 1), moderated by TheaterMania contributor Peter Filichia and featuring, among others, Michael John LaChiusa, and Showtunes in Translation: The Global Appeal of Musicals, where Joe DiPietro, Mark Hollmann and Will Aronson are scheduled to appear.

Additionally, programming at The Paley Center for Media will complement NYMF offerings with four television musicals, including The Bachelor, Hans Brinker, or the Silver Skates, Alice Through the Looking Glass and Carousel, featuring Robert Goulet. NYMF Partner events will also include Jim Caruso’s Cast Party at Birdland and Agentina passionate! (October 5-7), a piece by Roi “Bubi” Esudero and Rubén Caliberti that explores the work and legacy of legendary Argentine performers.
