Crossroads Theatre Company has announced its 2009-2010 season.

Three world premieres are scheduled for the coming year at Crossroads. Fly (October 1-18), by Trey Ellis and Ricardo Khan, centers on the African-America Army Air Corp fighters who are generally known as the Tuskegee Airmen. The theater’s second premiere for the year will be Through the Night (February 11-21). Written and performed by Daniel Beaty, Night is set in a health food store where the lives of a group of African-American men intersect. Stephanie Berry’s romantic comedy The Last Fall (April 15 – May 2) will be the theater’s third world premiere. This new play centers on the relationship between two fifty-somethings.

In addition to these productions, Crossroads will present Marion J. Caffey’s 3 Mo’ Divas (November 19 – December 6), which features three classically trained singers who deliver both operatic arias and the jazz of Duke Ellington. Additionally the theater will present its annual CommonGround: Festival of the People, which features selected works presented by organizations from central New Jersey, as well as its Genesis Festival of New and Emerging Voices.
