Performance Space 122 will present Karen Finley's latest solo, Impulse to Suck, on August 14 at 8pm.

The piece is inspired by Eliot Spitzer's March 10 speech, apologizing for his implication in a prostitution ring. Finley aims to "speak about the performance of the apology, the erotic transference of the media's fixation on Spitzer's frown and the emotional starring role for his wife, Silda." The show will be seen later this season at Joe's Pub, as part of that venue's 10th anniversary celebration.

Finley is an acclaimed and often controversial performance artist, whose shows include Wake Up!, Make Love, The American Chestnut, The Return of the Chocolate Smeared Woman, and We Keep Our Victims Ready.
