Second Stage Revamps 2006-2007 Season; Cullman to Direct Some Men

The Second Stage Theatre has revamped its 2006-2007 season. Theresa Rebeck’s critically acclaimed drama The Scene, will now begin performances on December 12. The production, to be directed by Rebecca Taichman, will open on January 11.

The season will continue in March with the New York premiere production of Terrence McNally’s Some Men. This history of same-sex relationships will be directed by Trip Cullman, who has helmed the Off-Broadway productions of Swimming in the Shallows, Dog Sees God, and The Wooden Breeks. A fourth show is still to be named.

The season will begin on September 6, with a revival of Eric Bogosian’s 1994 play subUrbia, to be directed by the author’s wife, Jo Bonney. The show will star Diksha Baku, Jessica Capshaw, Kieran Culkin, Michael Esper, Halley Feiffer, Kelli Garner, Daniel Eric Gold, Manu Narayan, and Peter Scanavino, and will run through October 29.
