Louise Pitre to Play Joe's Pub

Louise Pitre, star of the Broadway musical Mamma Mia!, will make a rare cabaret appearance at Joe's Pub on Monday, August 25 as part of the venue's Upper North Side Canadian Music Series. Her eclectic program will include selections from her CDs All of My Life Has Led To This and Songs My Mother Taught Me. Pitre will be accompanied by her musical director, Diane Leah.

A native Canadian, Pitre has spent the past two years at Broadway's Winter Garden Theatre playing the role of Donna Sheridan in Mamma Mia! In addition to earning Tony and Drama Desk nominations as Best Actress in a Musical, she won a Theatre World Award and Toronto's coveted Dora Award for her performance. Pitre will exit the show on October 19.

Joe's Pub is located at 420 Lafayette Street. Show times are 7pm and 9:30pm. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door; phone 212-239-6200 for information.
