Obie Award-Winning Invasion! to Return in September

The Play Company will present Jonas Hassen Khemiri’s Obie Award-winning play, Invasion!, translated by Rachel Willson-Broyles, at the Flea Theatre, beginning performances on September 6 in anticipation of an official opening on September 13. Erica Schmidt will once again direct the piece.

The play focuses on a set of interlocking stories in which a variety of characters with the name Abulkasem appear. The production was originally presented by the Play Company at Walkerspace earlier this year.

The company will feature original cast members Francis Benhamou, Andrew Guilarte, and Bobby Moreno, along with Nick Choksi.

The creative team will include Antje Ellermann (scenic design), Oana Botez Ban (costume design), Matthew Richards (lighting design), and Bart Fasbender (sound design).
