Nicole Kidman and Jacki Weaver to Co-Star in Stoker Film

Stage and screen stars Nicole Kidman and Jacki Weaver will co-star opposite Mia Wasikowska and Matthew Goode in the film Stoker, according to Deadline.com.

The film, to be directed by Chan-wook Park and written by Wentworth Miller, concerns a teenaged girl who is mourning the death of her father and has to deal with an eccentric uncle who shows up unexpectedly.

Kidman appeared on Broadway in The Blue Room and will reportedly return to the stage in Sweet Bird of Youth. She won the Academy Award for The Hours.

Weaver will be seen next month in the Sydney Theatre Company’s production of Uncle Vanya. She received an Oscar nomination for Animal Kingdom.
