Annette Bening will star opposite Kristin Wiig in the film Imogene, according to Deadline.com.

The film, which is written by Michelle Morgan and directed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini, will star Wiig as a moderately successful Gotham playwright who stages a fake suicide attempt to win back her ex-boyfriend, only to end up forced into the custody of her gambling-addict mother, to be played by Bening.

Bening’s many stage credits include The Female of the Species, Medea, Hedda Gabler, and Coastal Disturbances, and she is a four-time Academy Award nominee for The Kids Are All Right, Being Julia, American Beauty, and The Grifters.

Wiig is best known for her work on Saturday Night Live and can currently be seen on the big screen in Bridesmaids.
