Work by Bekah Brunstetter, Lynn Rosen, et al. to Be Part of Women’s Project’s Playing in Traffic

Plays by Bekah Brunstetter, Carla Ching, Laura Eason, Charity Henson-Ballard, Kara Manning, Lynn Rosen, Crystal Skillman, and Andrea Thome will be part of the Women’s Project’s Playing in Traffic, to be offered on August 12 at Ensemble Studio Theatre. Alice Regan will direct the performance.

In the plays, the writers, all members of the Women’s Project Playwrights Lab, examine New York City’s neighborhoods, exploring how the value of the dollar changes the landscape of a community. Casting will be announced at a later date.

In related news, the theater has announced the publication of Out of Time & Play: An Anthology of Plays by Members of the Women’s Project Playwrights Lab. The pieces that will be featured in the first volume of the series have been announced and include Back From The Front by Lynn Rosen; Rewind by Laura Eason; The Quiver of Children by Charity Henson-Ballard; The Vigil or The Guided Cradle by Crystal Skillman and Weightless by Christine Evans. Nadia Davids’ At Her Feet, Alexis Clements’ Conversation, Bekah Brunstetter’s Le Fou, Kara Manning’s Sleeping Rough, Carla Ching’s TBA and Andrea Thome’s Undone will all be found in the second volume.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event on August 12.
