Initial casting has been announced for several productions in the New York International Fringe Festival, which will play multiple venues in downtown Manhattan, August 13-29.

Reiko Aylesworth, best known for playing Michelle Dessler on 24, will join Geraldine Librandi, Dana Domenick, Joey Gambetta, Jonathan Bock, Casey Predovic, and playwright John Pollono in Lost and Found, to be directed by Andrew Block. The piece is about a Boston family of cops whose lives are thrown upside down when a mysterious stranger appears on their doorstep.

Stephen Wallem, who plays Thor Lundgren on Nurse Jackie, will co-star with Philip Hoffman, Lizann Mitchell, Maureen Silliman, and Evander Duck in The Hurricane Katrina Comedy Festival, written by Rob Florence, and directed by Philip Hoffman. The show is woven together from interviews with New Orleans locals who rode out the storm’s danger.

Bill Timoney, who played the role of Alfred Vanderpool for several years on All My Children, will join Judy Pollock, Keith Herron, and Stephen Gleason in Picking Palin, Stephen Padilla’s play about the 2008 Republican Vice Presidential candidate.

Broadway veteran Karen Pittman will join Christopher Larkin, Rory Lipede, Jon-Michael Reese, Wade Allain-Marcus, and Tamela Aldridge in Harrison David Rivers’ When Last We Flew, directed by Colette Robert. The piece is a look at life in small town America from a contemporary teenage perspective.

Cynthia Silver — whose Bridezilla Strikes Back! solo chronicled her time on the TV program Bridezillas — will join Vincent Madero, Yindy Vatanavan, and Ryan Kim in Chad Beckim’s Cookie, directed by Janet Bobcean. The play is about a down-on-his-luck writer exploring a green-card marriage to make some money.

MAC Award winner Mary Dimino will star in her solo show Scared Skinny, directed by Lisa Milinazzo. The autobiographical tale tracks Dimino’s journey from chubby little Italian girl to a 115 lb. weight loss.

As previously reported, Broadway veterans Liz Larsen and Sarah Litzsinger will appear in a new one-act developmental production of the Will Holt-Bruce Vilanch-Gary William Friedman musical Platinum, to be revised and directed by Ben West with choreography by Rommy Sandhu and musical direction by Fran Minarik.
