Plays by Craig Wright, Lucy Thurber Part of Rattlestick’s 2009-2010 Season

Plays by Craig Wright, Lucy Thurber, Annie Baker and Mando Alvarado will comprise the 2009-2010 season at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater. The company’s 15th anniversary season will include a trio of world premieres and a revival of a work it premiered nearly ten years ago.

The Rattlestick season gets underway with the revival: Thurber’s investigation of a woman confronting her past, Killers and Other Family (September 16 – October 11). The first of the world premieres, Post No Bills (November 4 – December 13), will follow. This play by Mando Alvardo is a portrait of a woman trying to carve her future as a musician, follows.

A contemporary retelling of the Oedipus myth, Blind (February 18 – March 21), from Emmy Award-winner Craig Wright will be the theater’s third offering in 2009-10. The season concludes with Annie Baker’s The Aliens (April 15 – May 30), a look at the friendship between three young men in Vermont.
