An Education With Peter Sarsgaard, Carey Mulligan, Alfred Molina, Dominic Cooper, et al. to Open October 9

Lone Scherfig’s film An Education, starring former Seagull castmates Peter Sarsgaard and Carey Mulligan, will be released by Sony Pictures Classics on October 9.
The film, which features a screenplay by Nick Hornby — adapted from a memoir by Lynn Barber — is set in 1961, and focuses on Jenny (Mulligan), an attractive, bright 16-year-old whose suburban life is upended by the arrival of an unsuitable, much older suitor (Sarsgaard).
The cast also includes Alfred Molina, Dominic Cooper, Rosamund Pike, Olivia Williams, Emma Thompson, Cara Seymour, and Matthew Beard.
