Polly Bergen, Marge Champion, Sandy Duncan, Bill Irwin, Lypsinka, Jane Powell, Noah Racey, Ben Vereen, and Karen Ziemba are among the celebrities scheduled to participate in That’s Entertainment!, a celebration of Career Transition For Dancers’ 20th anniversary, on Monday, October 24 at City Center.

The event is a benefit for CTFD, which has helped more than 3,000 professional dancers identify their unique talents in preparation for establishing new careers when dance is no longer an option. During the evening, The Rolex Dance Award will be given to The Joffrey Ballet (in recognition of its 50th anniversary) and to its co-founder, Gerald Arpino. Two CTFD Awards for Outstanding Contributions to the World of Dance will also be bestowed: to the Harkness Foundation for Dance and to Lewis S. Ranieri, chairman of American Ballet Theatre.

Produced and directed by Ann Marie DeAngelo, the event will pay homage to a century of dance in American entertainment from ballet to Broadway to break dancing, with a side order of circus arts. Other artists set to participate in the gala are Michael Moschen, Richard Move, Donald Saddler, Jason Samuels Smith, Mr. Wiggles, and members of American Ballet Theatre, ABT Studio Company, AntiGravity, the Big Apple Circus, Cirque du Soleil, Complexions, Crazy Legs & Rock Steady Crew with DJ Slynkee, Dance Times Square, The Joffrey Ballet, Martha Graham Dance Company, and the World Cup Shooting Stars All Star Cheerleading.

The October 24 event will begin at 7pm. Gala tickets are priced at $550 and $1,000 each, including both the performance and admission to a post-show “Anniversary Waltz Supper with the Stars” in the Metropolitan Ballroom at the Sheraton New York hotel.
