Re-Animator‘s Stuart Gordon Set for Stage Play About the Rotenburg Cannibal

Stage and film director Stuart Gordon will partner with producer Adam Goldworm for a Los Angeles stage production of Benjamin Brand’s play Taste, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The work is based on the true story of Armin Miewes, who killed and ate a voluntary victim found via the Internet, and was dubbed “the Rotenburg Cannibal.”

Gordon is best known for directing and co-writing the screenplay for the 1980s cult classic Re-Animator, which he has now adapted and again directed as Re-Animator the Musical, which will be making its New York premiere next month as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival.
