Hope Davis, Jane Fonda, William Shatner, Rutina Wesley Among Audie Award Winners

The Audie Awards, which honor the best in audiobooks, were handed out in New York City on Tuesday, June 5.


30 Rock star Tina Fey received Audie Awards for Audio Book of the Year and best Biography/Memoir for her narration of her best-seller Bossypants.


Other winners included Jane Fonda for her memoir Prime Time: William Shatner won for Shatner’s Rules; Debbie Allen for Heart and Soul: The Story of America and African-Americans; Hope Davis for her narration of Ann Patchett’s novel State of Wonder; Boyd Gaines, Condola Rashad, and B.D. Wong for Selected Shorts: New American Short Stories; and Rutina Wesley and the L.A. Theatre Works cast of Lorainne Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun.


A host of other stage veterans were nominated including Dylan Baker, Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Kenneth Branagh, Dennis Boutsakaris, Alan Cumming, Tovah Feldshuh, Edward Hermann, Samuel L. Jackson, Simon Jones, Stacy Keach, Isabel Keating, Val Kilmer, John Lithgow, Jefferson Mays, Bronson Pinchot, David Pittu, Kathleen Turner, Matthew Rhys, Marc Vietor, and Michael York.
