Lynne Meadow has won the Lilly Award for Lifetime Achievement. The honor, named for playwright Lillian Hellman and administered by The Committee for Recognizing Women in Theatre, recognizes the extraordinary contributions made by women to the American theater.

Meadow has been artistic director of Manhattan Theatre Club since 1972. As a director, she has staged such works as Collected Stories, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, A Small Family Business, and The Loman Family Picnic on Broadway.

The Committee for Recognizing Women in Theater was founded in 2010 with the mission of celebrating the work of outstanding, successful and up-and-coming women playwrights, directors, designers and advocates for the work of women in the theater.
