Kyle Dean Massey to Temporarily Replace Aaron Tveit in Next to Normal

Kyle Dean Massey will play the role of Gabe in the Broadway musical Next to Normal, June 9-September 6, while current star Aaron Tveit is working on the new musical Catch Me If You Can, which begins a pre-Broadway tryout at Seattle’s 5th Avenue in July.

The musical, now at the Booth Theatre, is directed by Michael Grief, and features music by Tom Kitt and book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey. It stars Alice Ripley, J. Robert Spencer, Jennifer Damiano, Adam Chanler-Berat, and Louis Hobson. It has received 11 Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical.

Massey’s stage credits include the Broadway productions of Wicked and Xanadu and the Off-Broadway production of Altar Boyz.
