The show, which will open officially on August 23, will be directed by Daniel Sullivan. Additional casting will be announced shortly.

The cast includes Jason Antoon (Snout), Keith David (Oberon), Mireille Enos (Hermia), John Michael Hill (Puck), Austin Lysy (Lysander), Tim Blake Nelson (Quince), Daniel Oreskes (Theseus), Missi Pyle (Helena), Laila Robins (Titania), Jay O. Sanders (Bottom), and Elliot Villar (Demetrius).

Sullivan won a Tony Award for his direction of Proof and has been nominated on five other occasions, most recently for Rabbit Hole. He last worked for the Public when he directed the award-winning production of David Hare's Stuff Happens; he also directed the 1994 Shakespeare in the Park production of The Merry Wives of Windsor. He will serve as acting artistic director at Manhattan Theatre Club during the 2007-2008 season.
