Barbour, Opel, Ragusa, et al. Set for Sacramento Music Circus Season

Casting has been announced for the Sacramento Music Circus 2007 Summer Season, to run July 10-September 2.

The season will open with Les Miserables (July 10-22) which will star Ivan Rutherford as Jean Valjean, Brad Little as Javert, Michael Hunsaker as Marius, Juliana Ashley Hansen as Eponine, and Laura Griffith as Cosette. Up next is Nunsense (July 24-29), which will star Michele Ragusa as Sister Mary Amnesia and Alyson Reed as the Reverend Mother.

The next show will be Kiss Me, Kate (July 31-August 5) with Paul Schoeffler and Lynne Wintersteller as Fred and Lilli. It will be followed by Annie (August 7-12), with Kelsey Smith in the title role, Mark Zimmerman as Daddy Warbucks, Adinah Alexander as Miss Hanigan, and Jim Walton as Rooster.

Nancy Opel will star in the title role of Hello, Dolly! (August 14-19) alongside Steve Vinovich as Horace, John Scherer as Cornelius, Mitch McCarrell as Barnaby, Jayne Patterson as Irene, and Melissa Bohon as Minnie. Up next, Mike McGowan tackles the title roles of Jekyll & Hyde (August 21-26).

The season concludes with 1776 (August 28-September 2) starring James Brennan as John Adams, Conrad John Schuck as Benjamin Franklin, Matthew Ashford as Thomas Jefferson, James Barbour as Edward Routledge, Bets Malone as Martha Jefferson, and Teri Bibb as Abigail Adams.
