Forbidden Broadway: Special Victims Unit, which won the 2005 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical Revue, will begin performances at its new home, the 47th Street Theater, on June 24. The show vacated its previous venue, the Douglas Fairbanks Theater, last month; that theater will be torn down this summer and will eventually be replaced by a new housing complex.

Created and written by Gerard Alessandrini, Forbidden Broadway pokes fun at current Broadway hits and past favorites. The newest edition includes a wrap-up of the 2004-2005 season, with jabs at such stars as Christina Applegate in Sweet Charity, Robert Goulet in La Cage aux Folles, Cherry Jones in Doubt, and Kathleen Turner in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf.

The show stars Ron Bohmer, Megan Lewis, Jason Mills, and Jeanne Montano, with David Caldwell at the piano.
