Jim Caruso's Cast Party Moves to Birdlan...

Equity/League Negotiations Will Recommence on July 6

By Michael Portantiere • Dec 31, 1969 • New York City
In a joint statement issued this afternoon by Actors' Equity Association and the League of American Theatres and Producers and its coordinated bargaining partners, it was announced that contract negotiations between the parties will resume on Tuesday, July 6 at 1pm and that performances of Broadway shows will continue uninterrupted "for the foreseeable future."

Both sides have been involved in talks that largely revolve around two issues: (1) the proliferation of non-Equity touring productions and (2) health care benefits for AEA members. An actors' strike against Broadway shows remains a possibility.
