Stage and screen stars such as Sammy Davis, Jr., Andy Griffith, Florence Henderson, Bob Hope, Gene Kelly, Paul Lynde, Kay Medford, Ethel Merman, Charles Nelson Reilly, and Orson Welles are among the artists featured as guest stars on the new DVD collection, The Best of The Dean Martin Variety Show. Time-Life will release the collection single, double and triple DVD sets on May 24.

The show garnered 12 Emmy Award nominations and one Golden Globe Award during its nine seasons on the air (1965-1974). Also featured on the show and the DVDs are such regulars as Woody Allen, Rodney Dangerfield, Dom Deluise and Nipsey Russell, as well as performers such as Don Adams, Eddie Arnold, Tony Bennett, George Burns, Sid Caesar, Phyllis Diller, Florence Henderson, Bob Hope, Michael Landon, Roger Miller, Robert Mitchum, Bob Newhart, Juliet Prowse, Don Rickles, Peter Sellers, Dinah Shore, Jimmy Stewart, John Wayne, Orson Welles, and Jonathan Winters, among others.

Each DVD, more than two hours long, features several episodes including guest segments, comedy sketches and over a dozen full-length musical performances, with additional bonus material starring regular show performers and extensive liner notes. The single DVD includes four show episodes with more than 15 musical performances; the double DVD set includes seven show episodes featuring more than 30 musical performances; and the six-DVD Collectors Edition includes more than 50 guests and 80 musical performances.
