Kate Burton, Michael Cumpsty Set for May 24 92Y Poets’ Theatre Event

Kate Burton and Michael Cumpsty will read from Words in Air: The Complete Correspondence Between Elizabeth Bishop and Robert Lowell at 92nd Street Y on May 24 at 8pm. The event is part of the 92Y’s Poets’ Theater series.
In addition to the writers’ letters, the performers will also read from their poems.
Burton received Tony Award nominations for her performances in The Constant Wife, Hedda Gabler, and The Elephant Man. Among her other Broadway credits are Spring Awakening, Company, and Jake’s Women.
Cumpsty starred opposite Burton in The Constant Wife. His other Broadway appearances include Democracy, Enchanted April, Copenhagen, and 42nd Street.
