Today Show Sponsors Contest to Sing with Jennifer Hudson

The Today Show is sponsoring a contest in which the winner will have the opportunity to “Sing in the Spotlight” with Academy Award and Grammy Award winner Jennifer Hudson on the Today Concert stage.

In their application, interested individuals must submit a 500 words or less essay detailing why they deserve the chance to perform with the star, along with a video of them performing the song “And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going” from Dreamgirls. The contest is currently running, and will end on May 11 at 11:59 EST.

Hudson won the Oscar for her role as Effie White in Dreamgirls and co-starred in the films Sex and the City and The Secret Life of Bees. She also appeared on Broadway in the Actors’ Fund concert version of Hair.
