Nancy Anderson, James Barbour, Jason Graae to Star in York’s The Grand Tour

Nancy Anderson, James Barbour, and Jason Graae will headline The York Theatre Company’s Musicals in Mufti Series presentation of The Grand Tour, to run May 29-31 at the Theatre at St. Peter’s.

The show features music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, and book by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble, based on the original play Jacobowski and the Colonel by Franz Werfel. It will be directed by Michael Montel, with music direction by James Bassi. The cast will also feature Edwin Cahill, Roger DeWitt, William Thomas Evans, Nicholas Galbraith, Cynthia Leigh Heim, Todd Alan Johnson, Lorinda Lisitza, and Sasha Weiss.

Next up in the series will be High Spirits (June 12-14), based on Noel Coward’s Blithe Spirit and featuring book, music, and lyrics by Hugh Martin and Timothy Gray. Marc Bruni will direct the show, with music direction by Vadim Feichtner.

The season will conclude with Knickerbocker Holiday (June 26-28), featuring book and lyrics by Maxwell Anderson and music by Kurt Weill. This romantic-political-musical-comedy set on the eve of the American Revolution, will be directed by Michael Unger, with music direction by John Bell.
